THE ART RETREAT WEEK AT CASA DE LOS ARTISTAS AT BOCA DE TOMATALAN

This is the poster created by Sally of our class of January 2019: A lively and creative group of people from the USA, Canada, UK and Argentina. Led by the irrepressible Bob Burridge.

We laughed, we cried, we played, and we created.

It was a wonderful week with a group of interesting and talented people. Another very special tribe of new friends from around the world.

There were trips out - to the amazing botanical garden down the road, on a boat, and to Vallarta.

I stayed back and painted that day having already spent a week there.

Boca is a beautiful rural and remote fishing village.

it was populated by gentle very Mexican people, seemingly untouched by tourism, and many many animals roaming free, particularly much loved dogs and cats.

I was lucky to be staying in the Casa itself in a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the ocean. We had all our meals lovingly created by Ruby on the floor above my room, the studio was on the top floor.
